| Objectives |
The some of the manifold objectives that CARDC essentially aspires to achieve are:
- To conduct, sponsor and aid research in the field of social sciences and humanities, pure as well as applied to cover economics, sociology, psychology, social work, law and constitution, political science, history, philosophy, demography, education, literature, culture and arts. Also conduct research in those aspects of natural, physical, environmental sciences which are related to the question of the weaker sections of society.
- To promote, develop and implement ICT based initiatives in bridging the digital divide gap.
- To aid governmental and other agencies in the area of Micro-financing.
- To promote and help in adaptation of renewable energy sources.
- To promote environment friendly measures like rain water harvesting, provision of eco-friendly housing technologies and better irrigation facilities.
- To help in rehabilitation of psychologically deficient or maladjusted people including the mentally retarded and drug addicts and work towards prevention of any kind of drug abuse.
- To depict social issues/problems through performing arts.
- To conduct research with a focus on inter-linkages between poverty and discrimination and exclusion of social groups such as Scheduled castes, Scheduled tribes and other backward castes. Above all the focus of the research will be on various aspects of the economy, society, polity, religion, history and new aspects of contemporary relevance.
- To organize, conduct, sponsor or co-sponsor workshops, seminars, national and international conferences to collate and mutually exchange experiences, views strategies, approaches, model, modules and resource materials designed and developed by various individuals, scholars, groups, organizations, associations, institutions, human rights organization across the world on the topics of mutual interest.
- To help to form academic association of researchers related to the fields of science, literature, social sciences and to assist to organize conferences, workshop, publish research journal, books and other research material.
